Two weeks to two children

I, Megan, am pregnant for those who don't know. The due date is now coming up within 2 weeks. And then we will be a family of 4 instead of a family of 3. There are a lot of changes with that, as those that have 2 children know, and those that don't can probably guess at(which is all I can do right now).

There is a lot of excitement with this upcoming birth. One being we will finally find out if we will be a family with two sons or a balanced family with 2 boys and 2 girls in the house. Another more superficial exciting thought is that my feet will hopefully no longer be swollen. I know it's such a pleasant thought...swollen feet.

But I did get a laugh today from a friend of mine who came up with a grand idea of how I could continue to be as active and "on my feet" around campus while also having my feet elevated.

As you can see, she even got my swollen feet as well as the lovely belly I'm sporting.
Shayla, you should patent this and sell it to lots of pregnant women.

Besides the down sides of the changing body and interesting effects pregnancy has had on me, it's also very different to imagine how different a second pregnancy is in comparison to the first where I could sit and relax much more often than I can now with our cute little Evan keeping me busy.

I'm still a little nervous about having two children, just because it will be new and for Oliver and I it is unchartered territory. I need to learn the lesson of not comparing my family to others. I know that my experience of having two children will be different than many others, but it's not like I've ever had two children before so our experience will be our experience and with Oliver's reminders, I will hopefully be a very calm, relaxed mother. As opposed to the worrying woman that I tend to be.

I am excited about meeting our new little one no matter if it is a girl or a boy and we will be able to spread our love a little further amongst these children sent to us.
