Family Gathering
We attended the Annual Angelman Syndrome Walkathon. This year it was held at the Kauri Sue Hamilton School in Riverton. It was a good event, although I felt a bit disconnected from it all. We didn't do a lot for fundraising or planning for the event this year and the way the school is set up, the walk happened around the building, they served lunch in the front of the school, the auction stuff was inside their big common room and then there were a few games that happened in the playground area in the back of the building. So it wasn't as...open...this year. Last year we had a pavilion at a park and it was a little bit easier to see everyone, sure there were more challenges of hearing everything and maybe crowded in the pavilion. Oh well. Another reason for our not being as social with other Angelman Syndrome families, was that we were spending time with our own family. Natalie, Mitchell and Beth came.
